Milan Furniture Fair 2012

Coming back from an inspirational time in Milan.   This years Milan had a real scandanivan feel with an all wood look. We met some amazing people and found some gorgeous new furniture to add to the collection.  Here are some of our favourites which we have just added to defrae.com


Milan also featured a wide a range of chairs with a contemporary polycarbonate or polypropylene shell finished off with a more traditional and classic looking wooden frame.


The Icon Range of chairs.


Designed by Sander Mulder and produced in Florence, Italy the Icon side chair is one that is sure to bring Italian style and design to any restaurant, bar or office.


The Icon range is available with the seat in a choice of either transparent, white or black polycarbonate.  The wooden base is available in natural, ash, black or walnut.

The Drop & Venezia

We recently featured the Drop range of tables and chairs as one to look out for at Milan.  Well we love the range as its perfect for al-fresco dining but the launch look caught us by surprise.  Some exceptionally beautiful created designs by Brazilian artist, Romero Britto.  The bright 

colours and sharp contrasts will ensure this is will bring a real 'wow' factor to any environment.

The Venezia side chair also has a stunning new look courtesy of senhor Britto.

Sneak Preview - Milan Furniture Fair 2012

Having just booked our tickets for the Milan Furniture Fair we thought we would share some of the exciting new products that are due to be launched at the show and are actually available now at defrae.com.  

Week by week we will be updating our blog with some of our favourites as we build up to the fair in April. Here is our first sneak preview.  




Venezia Side Chair


Brand new for 2012 is the Venezia side chair which is due to be launched at this years prestigious Milan Furniture Fair. This contemporary chair has a solid beech frame available in 3 finishes with the seat and backrest available in a choice of 6 polypropylene colours. The contrast of the wooden frame against the polypropylene seat and back, make the Venezia a really stylish and chic chair, ideal for restaurants, hotels and coffee shops. A matching bar stool is also available.

Drop Table


The Drop stackable table is perfect for any environment where space is of a premium.
