Recreating a Georgian style tea room

Our brief was to recreate a Georgian style tearoom for the Antique Storehouse in Portsmouth's Royal Dockyard, with a modern twist.

Ensuring the furniture looked and felt authentic but needed to be sturdy, modern and guaranteed to last the course for this busy tea room.

DeFrae's Annabelle side chairs look and feel ensured that seating arrangement felt in tone for the storehouse’s retro theme.  The Annabelle’s have been upholstered in classic fabrics from Sunbury Design including Eno Calvados, Eno Gondola, Adelphi Vermont and Adelphi Priory to recreate a classic Georgian style environment.

Our Denver table bases and bespoke tabletops have been designed to work with the uneven wooden floors to ensure an authentic feel.  Its paramount that the tables remained robust with adjustable feet to work with the floorboards.

“Thank you, it does look splendid” – a nice quote from our clients.
